Amazon states it doesn't sell your personal information, and a mic-off button is there when you want it.

Like any Echo it leans on the Alexa app, but for an at-a-glance display this size it's hard to beat.

It's the one you put in a bedroom, a dorm, or a kid's room — front-firing sound that's fine for podcasts and background music, not a party. For anyone adding a second or third Alexa point on a budget. Just don't expect the bass or room-fill of the bigger Echos.
